Typically, once you've done so, the product or service will remain yours, and there will be no expectations on you to send those products or services back.

If they would like the product's returned, they'll typically pay you significantly more, to ensure that the product or service returns in good working condition for their evaluation purposes. Some products may be as small and seemingly simple as an electric toothbrush, or as large and complex as a vacuum cleaner.
